After much deliberation, the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and Minnesota Timberwolves came to an agreement that features Carmelo Anthony leaving the Mile High City for the Big Apple.
Anthony is expected to sign a three year, $65 million extension deal with the New York Knicks. Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman will leave Denver for New York with Anthony and Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, a 2014 1st round draft pick, and additional picks and cash will go from New York to Denver. Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry and $3 million will leave from New York for Minnesota in exchange for Corey Brewer.
Anthony would have been the major free agent available during this upcoming offseason, but the upcoming collective bargaining agreement could have cost Anthony millions.
Anthony has played for the Denver Nuggets since he was drafted as the 3rd overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft after winning a NCAA national championship in his freshman year at Syracuse.

Given the uncertainty of the upcoming 2011 National Football League (NFL) season, due to disagreement over the current collective bargaining agreement between the NFL owners and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), the NFL has restructured its licensing and sponsorship contract with Electronic Arts (EA).
EA, which programs the “Madden” series of football games, entered into a nine figure contract with the NFL in 2008 that is due to expire in 2013. The deal allows EA to use NFL team names, colors, and logos. The “Madden” series of football games also feature an option to update rosters based on the front office decisions and player performance in the NFL. Therefore, a 2011 NFL season that is shortened or nonexistent due to lockout inherently diminishes the value of “Madden NFL 12.” “Madden NFL 12” is due to release in August 2011, a month before the 2011 NFL season is due to start. According to EA’s chief financial officer, Eric Brown, the restructured licensing and sponsorship contract reflects the most conservative assumption of lost commercial appeal, which is that the lockout continues and there is no 2011 NFL season at all.
The NFL and EA have had an exclusive relationship since 2005, when the NFL gave EA sole rights to league and player marks and intellectual property.

After weighing his options of making more Maybach Music with Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter at Roc Nation/Sony, finally finishing up that collaboration with Bryan “Birdman” Williams at Cash Money, or joining his Buggati Boy Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jimmy Iovine at Interscope, William “Rick Ross” Roberts has partnered his Maybach Music Group with Lyor Cohen and Warner Bros. Records.
Once he fulfills his obligations to his Def Jam contract by releasing his fifth LP, God Forgives, I Don’t, Roberts will join Warner Bros. and bring his Maybach Music Group roster, including the newly signed Wale “Wale” Folarin and Robert “Meek Mill” Williams.
Maybach Music Group was established in 2008 and has released material that has reached #1 on Billboard charts and received Grammy nominations.
